Description: Participants will construct a garment from start to finish using a number of techniques. They will develop a comprehensive understanding of fabrics and fittings. A good prior knowledge of sewing is essential.

Description: Participants will learn how to design a garment according to a brief. They will learn how to present a design in a portfolio and be able to demonstrate how design works and body shape.
FETAC level 3 - Domestic sewing
Course Duration: 5 weeks
Class Duration: 3 hours

Description: Participants will learn how to cut out a pattern, identify suitable fabrics, turning down corners, embellishments and hemming. Students will complete a variety of projects such as dolls clothes, apron, towels and a draft excluder. A basic knowledge of sewing is essential.
FETAC level 3 - Hemming & simple unlined curtains

Description: Participants will learn straight hemming, corner hemming, overlocking and binding. They will also learn how to measure for curtains, different headings and proper hanging. A basic knowledge of sewing is essential.

Description: Participants will learn how to customise home furnishings. They will measure and make a cushion with a zip. They will learn how to make a pattern and be able to insert a frill and piping.

Description: Participants will learn how to handsew and machine sew patchwork. They will learn how to insert hexagon shapes and follow a diagram and assemble.
