 Who is this sewing course aimed at:
Our Sewing courses are aimed at local people who are interested in learning a new skill and prefer not to go outside their own community. Also to teach people the basics of sewing or those who would you like to know how to do their own alerations.
Duration of sewing course
The Course would run for 8 weeks, 2 hour classes with 6 modules and a finished project for assessment and evaluation.
Sewing Course Plan
Course : Sewing for Beginners
Duration : 8 Weeks- 2 Hour Classes
Aims:
To introduce participants to the Adult can sew programme , to show correct use of sewing machines,how to make a simple garment, introduce participants to patterns, and how to alter patterns for their own use.
Objectives:
It is the intention to provide participants with relevant information to allow them to: learn the proper use of a sewing machine.Learn about patterns and how to alter them , suggest how participants can make use of this new skill give participants the confidence to go futher.
Equipment:
Sewing machines, patterns, fabric, handouts. We supply everything thats needed.
Agenda Introduction:
Check if any participants have a sewing machine or have used one so we begin with the basics with on going questions and answers and and on going assessment and evaluation.
